Practical guide

How digital loyalty cards work.

A digital loyalty stamp card records progress toward a reward on a customer's phone. It suits businesses with repeat visits, such as cafés, salons, barbers and local shops, that want a familiar stamp-and-reward workflow without a paper card.

Choose a clear reward and stamp target

Decide what earns a stamp, how many stamps are needed and what the reward is. Explain those rules to customers before they join. In Punchless, create the loyalty offer with your chosen stamp target and reward.

For example, a café could offer a reward after six coffee stamps. That is an illustrative offer; your business chooses the reward and qualifying purchase rules.

Give customers a digital card

Add the customer or share your business signup QR. Customers can use their pass in a browser or the app. Staff can also find a customer by name when they cannot show their phone.

Record stamps and redeem earned rewards

When a qualifying visit happens, staff find the customer's card and add a stamp. When the stamp target is reached, staff redeem the earned reward. Your team can follow the activity in Punchless.

How is a loyalty card different from a prepaid pack?

A loyalty card rewards repeat visits. A prepaid pack tracks sessions that a customer has already purchased. A studio might use a 10-class pack for paid sessions, while a café uses a stamp card for a future reward. Punchless supports both in the same workspace.

When should you try digital instead of paper?

Consider a digital card if customers lose paper cards, several staff need to work from the same record, or people often ask how close they are to a reward. Paper can still suit a business that prefers a physical process without a software subscription.

A loyalty tool records your programme; it does not guarantee repeat sales. Test the workflow during the trial and choose a reward your business can sustain.
